An initiative of Build Bronzeville at The Forum

WHAT IS THE value OF A STORY? What is the power of remembrance?

train of thoughts affirms that stories are the gateway to empathy and communal reclamation.

Bronzeville is critical to Chicago’s story and the anchor for all of Black Chicago. In response to decades of divestment in this historic neighborhood, Train of thoughts shares important community stories at the 43rd Street Green Line stop to be a spark for revitalization.

The FORUM:

A Bronzeville Relic

For the first three-quarters of the twentieth century, The Forum stood at the heart of Black Chicago’s social, political, cultural and commercial life.

Today, Urban Juncture is working to restore The Forum as a hub for cultural programming, hospitality and socializing as part of its Build Bronzeville initiative.

explore the stories of a community.

All roads lead to Bronzeville.

All roads lead to Bronzeville.

help restore the forum

After sparking the curiosity of the public, it is our hope to gain public buy-in towards The Forum reconstruction project. The stories shared will be targeted to inspire the public to become a part of bringing back to life a critical component of our history.

The train of thoughts project will be connected to The Forum crowdfunding campaign.
